Spain issues new Covid rules for anyone who becomes ill on holiday.
Everyone travelling to Spain this summer will have to abide by new Covid rules following an update to its travel advice on the government website. Any visitors who develop symptoms/test positive for Covid during their Spanish stay are urged to follow these rules to cut down the possible spread of the virus.
Although there is no requirement to self-isolate, you should inform direct contacts and take extra precautionary measures for 10 days from receiving a positive result or from when the symptoms begin. These include wearing a mask, limiting social interactions, avoid crowded spaces and avoid contact with people at high risk, such as older people, people with health conditions and pregnant women.
